There are some tools I simply cannot live with out & some that will surprise you...
Scissors - Small Embroidery scissors - most sewing machines have a thread cutter but I prefer to cut the thread. Fabric scissors - ONLY to be used for fabric not paper. Paper scissors - For paper silly!
Unpicker - you will need one of these to remedy you errors
small screwdrivers - my machine get used on a daily basis normally so these are essential to help maintain the machine.
Brush - to clean said machine to maintain good running can be an old make-up /paint brush.
A1 cutting matt - essential to save your table
A piece of card - Yep with lines marked on to do perfect hems
what have I been up to
Like most business I started in panic mode
Then one of my students asked if I could make facemasks for the Oncology department at "The Royal Surrey Hospital" so my answer was of course. I also got as many students involved as I could I made approx 200 for them. I also made 150 odd for "The Meath Charity" and a further 150 for various other frontline organisations.
It was then time to try and keep my business going so I started to sell them to the general public and continue to do so. I have some pretty cool patterns in S M & L
Due to people having more time on their hands lots of people have got into sewing HURRAHH!! so please do get in touch if you get stuck.
I have now an extensive range of fabrics that is growing weekly so please pop in.
